Dear Families,
It is hard to believe that the first quarter is over and we are really immersed in our curriculum. With November, and some of our Science Standards having been addressed, we will focus on the Abenaki Tribe. We will begin this unit with a field trip to the Museum of History in Montpelier. We will take part in a presentation of the Abenaki way of life, and tour an Abenaki wigwam. We will also visit the Capital Building. If you would like to chaperone, please let me know, and Maryanne in the office will provide you with the necessary forms for background checks. The trip will take place on November 20th.
This Friday is conferences. I can't wait for you to see samples of your child's work, and I can't wait to meet some of my new parents. This is one of my favorite days of the year!
