Dear Families, I hope everyone has had a healthy, happy summer vacation. I also hope that every one is ready to return to school, I certainly am! I am so excited for this school year! We will be studying the geography of our world, life cycles of animals, and so much more. For the rest of our summer vacation, I would like for all third and fourth graders to make a list of 5-10 animals that you think are interesting. Bring the list on the first day and together we will figure out where the animals live in the world. If you have a book that you'd like to bring for silent reading, please do. If you need a silent reading book, we have tons in the classroom so don't worry if you don't have one. Our classroom has plenty of supplies to start the year, but if you would like to bring in your own pencils, markers, or other things, that is fine. It is amazing how fast these things go! Enjoy your last few days of vacation! I can't wait to see your smiling faces on September 1st!

I hope everyone has had a great vacation! It feels like a long summer! I am ready and eager to be back with my "school family." This year promises to be an exciting year for the students as they will be studying the world, and the life cycles of animals. I have yet to meet a child who didn't have an interest in animals! This is just a brief post, as I plan to send a more complete Welcome in the mail. For now I would like to extend the invitation for parents and students to feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions. Have a great two weeks until school!
